bTreated Is Proud to Introduce Two Do Salon!

TwoDo is the hair salon of your dreams, nurturing yet sophisticated; hip yet unintimidating; relaxed yet top-notch. A happening hideaway hair salon on the Upper West Side (82nd. Between Broadway & Amsterdam), TwoDo is a respite from the impersonal treatment sometimes associated with more high profile salons and day spas.

Established in 1994 by hair colorist extraordinaire, Megan Gordon, and her husband, NYC entrepreneur Kevin Gordon, TwoDo quickly earned a reputation for providing total expert care in a warm, friendly environment. Soon after TwoDo opened it’s doors in 1994, Allure Magazine named Megan Gordon one of the most talented hair colorists in the country. Hand-painted stained glass windows, white brick walls, and copper artwork from a Brooklyn designer give the apartment-turned-salon a bohemian charm.

Praised by publications like Allure, New York Magazine and by their customers on Yelp, City Search, and Insider Pages Two Do Salon is the premier spot on the Upper West Side!

SkinCareLab reviewed by bTreated member Leah B!

Conveniently located right outside off the RW train on Prince Street, Skin Care Lab is a modern, minimalist space on the fourth floor of an otherwise understated office building. Going solely off of its name, I was not expecting a company that specialized in skin care to be well versed in the ways of manicures but I was pleasantly surprised.

I was greeted at the door by the helpful and attentive staff who took my coat, offered me a glass of water and brought out a selection of magazines to take with me to the pedicure bath. I was lead to a white leather banquet which was far from the massage chairs I am used to at most nail places, however, my seat was comfortable and jutted out right over a silver square shaped tub to soak my feet. There was even a table attached to the side of the tub so I had somewhere to place my magazines and cell phone (a feature I wished more places would offer).

The polish choices ranged from YSL to Chanel, and although there wasn’t a very large selection, it was a nice change from the standard OPI and Essie colors I have become to accustomed to (though those are there as well).

The ambience was quiet and very private. I was in the room alone with my manicurist, enabling me to sit back and listen to the modern yet light music in the background.

The pedicure treatment included a salt scrub, peppermint cuticle oil and lotion as well as a relaxing leg massage. All of the utensils came from a never before opened package, which I was told is the standard practice there for every client. The manicure treatment was similar and relatively standard to what you would normally expect. Be sure to leave enough time at the end to dry, as there is a single fan dryer, not the UV lamp driers you normally see.
